Are doorbell chime covers one size fits all?
No. Chime boxes come in many sizes, so every Iledecor cover is made to your chime's height, width and depth.
Will a cover fit my Nutone, Broan-Nutone or Newhouse chime?
Yes. Fit comes from your chime's measurements, not its model number, so the covers work with Nutone, Broan-Nutone and Newhouse chimes.
Will it fit an old or vintage chime?
Yes, as long as you can measure it. Because each cover is made to your measurements, it fits older chimes that off-the-shelf replacement covers often don't.
My chime's original cover is missing or broken. Will this work?
Yes. Many people use an Iledecor cover to replace a missing or broken chime cover. Measure the chime the same way.
Is this a new doorbell chime?
No. It's a decorative cover only. You keep your existing chime, and the cover slides over it. No rewiring needed.
How does the cover stay on?
It slides over your chime and stays on with a snug friction fit. That's why accurate measurements matter.
How do I measure my chime?
Take the old decorative cover off first. Then measure, in this order: Height (top to bottom of the chime's back plate), Width (left to right of the back plate) and Depth (from the wall to the part of the chime that sticks out the most). Round each measurement up to the nearest 1/16 in. See the size guide for step-by-step help.
What size do I need?
Your size comes from the total of height + width + depth in inches: under 12 is X-Small; 12 to under 14 is Small; 14 to under 16 is Medium; 16 to under 18 is Large; 18 to under 20 is X-Large; 20 and over is 2X-Large. Enter your measurements on the product page and your size is selected automatically.
What if my total is exactly on a limit?
It goes up to the next size. For example, a total of exactly 14 in is Medium, and exactly 12 in is Small.
Is there a maximum size?
Yes. Each measurement (height, width or depth) can be up to 12.5 in.
What if I'm not sure about my measurements?
Measure twice before you order, since each cover is made to your measurements, rounded up to the nearest 1/16 in. If you're unsure, email info@iledecor.com before ordering.
What are the covers made of?
Every Iledecor chime cover is made to order in PLA and made to measure.
What colors can I choose?
Our single-color patterns (Louver, Stars, Arches and Flowers) come in 10 colors: Black, Caramel, Dark Blue, Dark Brown, Dark Chocolate, Dark Green, Dark Red, Gold, Lemon Yellow and White. The Two-Tone Louver comes in 6 color pairs (face/body): Caramel/Chocolate, Bone White/Black, Desert Tan/Cocoa, Olive/Chocolate, White/Navy and Beige/Black. Other pairs are available on request. What is the felt insert?
Felt is an optional insert that covers the chime's parts so they don't show through the cover's pattern. Choose Felt: Yes on the product page.
Is shipping free?
Free standard shipping on all U.S. orders, with no minimum.
How long until my order ships?
Each cover is made to your measurements in 1–3 business days, then ships free within the U.S. Standard delivery takes 3–7 business days after it ships. You'll get a confirmation email with tracking once it ships.
